X2.6 won't boot anymore.

Just insalled my X2.6 with the solderless install. Used the web bios update feature and put 5032 on bank 1 and everything worked. tried to put on 4973 to bank 1 and after i flashed it won't boot anymore no matter if i have bank 1 or bank 2 selected. i haven't done anything to bank 2 btw. now its just:

- powers on, powers off
- powers on, powers off
- powers on but frags.

What can i do to save my xbox?


btw, i can turn the modchip off and it will boot to msdash and play games.

Did you resize 4973 to 512K before flashing?

If not you need to get a programmer to be able to re-flash the chip.

Isn't 4973 256K?
I should have resized it to 512K before flashing it to my chip?
Shouldn't i have been able to switch to the other unflashed bank to flash a different bios to it?
Will the "boot with another modchip, then switch to this modchip after bootup, then reflash" trick work?

just buy i programmer ive got mine on the way after ****ing my eeprom and it seems simple enough to fix it with the programmer their not even that expensive.

you can find someone else with a working chip and box and try a hotswap if you think you can do it

Can you boot to the cromwell flash on bank 2?
If you reflash it from there it will over-write your dodgy bank 1 so long as you use a 512kB bios, if you use a 1MB bios it will overwrite both Banks 1 & 2.
