X2.6ce in V1.5 - error13 after dashboard install!

hi i installed an xecuter 2.6ce in my v1.5 crystal about aweek ago - it has been working fine and played backups e.t.c no problems . I then downloaded the new deluxe installer 2.0 that has just been released and then formatted and installed numerous dashboards e.t.c - i now have the problemm that when i bootup i get the flubber the xboxlogo and then the screen picture gets scrambled and i get a scrambled error 13 in the top left corner . I have pretty much already figured that as the harddrive install is buggered and it will not boot a install disc before it crashes that i am screwed with this harddrive(is this right?) am i right in saying that if i get the larger new hdd that i was planning on buying in aweek or so that i will be able to booutup with an auto installer and dtart again!

13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.

What bios do you have on the chip?

i did have a M8 bios on both banks and then flashed bank 1 with the xecuter 5032(512k) and everything seemed o.k until i used this deluxe installer !

What dashboards did you install, and to what drive?

i think that i formatted the drive and then installed all the dasboards on the e: partition so effectively there is nothing on c: and that is why it doesnt boot - i think !
i am wondering if i can take the drive out and put it in my pc and format it - i did have the foresite to unlock the drive !

Make a boot disc, you will be able to boot from that and format. You can use NetPrep to format the drive. As for installing the dashboard, try Slayer's, a lot of people have had luck with that. I believe Slayer's will also format your drive.
