hey everyone! Just a little issue here.

I have the x2.6ce on a 1.3xbox.

Iv got my chip up and running, and both banks boot to cromwell fine. I decided to flash using the http method over my network because Im a mac user and it just seemed the easiest way to do it.

My problem is, I have is that when I flash everything seems to go fine...the yellow bar completes, then the green, and then it shuts off. Now when I turn the xbox back on, Im still using the flashbios. Its like my flashing didn't do anything. Im using X2_4977.bin, and I even tried a build of Evox. same results from both. Iv tried it like a dozen times each, and a couple times it fraged the bank, but all I had to do was flash it with X2_4977.bin and it would go back to the flashbios. Maybe Im just a stupid n00b, but something here isnt right.

For starters, ditch X2 4977 - get the latest X2CL BIOS.

Secondly, remember to switch to bank 1 after flashing as this is where the BIOS will go leaving bank 2 with FlashBIOS on it should you want another BIOS or something goes wrong.

ok 2 things. In the usual place, under bios/ X2 I see nothing named X2CL. The highest build number for x2 I could see was x2_4983.67_256k.bin; But discussing that might be against the rules? If it is thats ok.

Secondly, After I do the flash, I can boot off either bank and they are both still Flashbios. 3.0.1 and 3.0.3 respectivelly. Now are you saying that if I set the switch to 1 and use the http flash, the resulting flash will go to bank 2? Cuz like I said, Im still getting FlashBios on both. Thanks for taking time to help me figure out what is going on.

1. You need to go to here on xbins:

/XBOX/bios/Xecuter/Xecuter2/MULTI_VERSION/

Download the x2.5035 compressed file

extract and you'll find a 5035 vOld - you'll also see it's 512k which is the correct size.

Have you attempted to put flashbios onto a boot disk at any time? I suggest erasing/discarding any other boot disks you've made as it's possible you've tried something and keep using the wrong disk (or the wrong BIOS.BIN file).
