Hey could someone help me? My brother tried to put debug bios inplace of my xecuter 3.0.1 bios on bankone. now when I turn on my xbox on bankone it loads to the xbox dash load up and the blob thing comes up but freezes in the middle of it. how do I fix this?

What happens when you boot from bank 2? Do you get FlashBIOS or boot to a dashboard? (MS or otherwise) If you get either the recovery of bank 1 shouldn't be difficult.

I'm not a noob modder but on bank2 i got evox and on bank1 it doesn't even load. Would I need a programmer to fix this or something? Oh, he tried to put a debug bios, Yoshihiro1.6. Recovery? I can't even load bank1.

When you say you get EvoX on bank 2, are you referring to an EvoX BIOS (logo in the top corner I think) or the EvoX dashboard? If you are getting the dashboard then you should be able to reflash from there, either right within EvoX or you could install FlashX which would provide you better control. If you are getting the EvoX BIOS logo but then going to the MS dash you should still be able to run unsigned code. This means you can create a boot disc that would have utilities you need to flash your chip. Please provide more detail on what happens with bank 2, it sounds like your bank 1 recovery options are right there in front of you.

Bank2 has the Evox dashboard and everything its just bank1 won't load cause a differnent bios was flashed by accident. This was to run xbox image grabber, I already have my xbox completely modded. Bank1 just won't load, instead of goin to the Flashbios screen, it goes to the xbox blob thing that floats to the top of the screen and freezes.

Get FlashX and install it on your Xbox, once you have your box booting unsigned code this is the easiest and most reliable way I have found to flash a BIOS. Use that to update bank 1 with the BIOS of choice. You can try that debug BIOS again although I have no idea why it is freezing. If you are not already running it on bank 2 I would recommend you give X2CL 5035 on bank 1. Bank 2 works for you so leave it alone. FlashX will show 4 BIOS banks (like X2BM), if you don't understand this check out the 2/4 banks link in my sig.

using Flashx you should be able to flash the correct bios to bank 1. you don't have to use flashx to put flashbios back on. Use flashx to flash 5035 or whatever bios you want straight to bank 1.

Well i tried one bios flashbios 3.0.1 on bank1 so it flashes. i turn my xbox off then switch to bank1 and i get tha frag error and its on a black screen.

why don't you take my advice and try flashing the correct version of 5035 straight to bank 1 using FlashX.

what xbox version have you got? if you have a 1.6/b flashbios 3.0.1 might not be the right version for you.

have you also thought that when using FlashX to flash Bank 1 it might be best to try and flash a 512k bios like 5035.

i'd be willing to put money on it working if you actually go ahead and try

you do realise you do not need flashbios to lock your hard disk. As you have 5035 running on bank 2 you could use any dashboard to lock your hard drive. If that's the only reason you are trying to get flashbios onto bank 1, then you are wasting your time!! Use 5035 on bank 2 to boot a dashboard and lock it that way.


are you certain it's a 1.6 not a 1.6b?

if it's a 1.6b that's why flashbios 3.0.1 is not working!

with the LOCK HARD DISK or UNLOCK HARD DISK OPTION

if you have not got those options you need to edit your evox.ini and either unrem the lines or add them in.
