X2 CE not detected by programmer utility

Hello. I'm new to xceuter mod-chips but not new to modifying xboxes. I'm modding a friends box and bought an X2 CE and an official promrammer. The LPT port settings on my comp are correct, yet the bios utility is not detecting my chip. One source said to try better printer cable if your chip was not detected but i one-uped it and connected the programmer directly to the port on my MoBo. Still not seein it. Has anyone else had/seen this problem?? Is there anything else i can try??

oh BTW i have the new programmer with the USB power cable, not the batery pack one.

Make sure you have the switches plugged in. What bios utility are you using?

I'm useing the X2 BIOS Manager. The bank/flash protect/on,off switch needs to be connected in order to detect it? Ok thanks I'll do that when i get home.

I had the same problem, not detecting the X2.6ce! I tried connecting the switch as well but still no luck. Any suggestion on what's wrong please?
