x2 config.ini problems

Hello,

I put my ini file on the e: part as said and it gave me an error 13. read up a little more, seems that the ini file is corrupt, strange i thought, must be the colours i changed as that was the only thing that i changed. Read a little more, turns out that if you ftp the ini file with flashfxp it corrupts it? is this true? seems a little far fetched to me but there you go.

Also i took my colour settings from my x3cl, i got the colour settings i wanted and wrote them down and put them into my x2 ini file, only thing i noticed was that the flubber colours were 8 characters long and my x3 colurs are 6 characters long, would this affect the ini file? the xbox logo colours work fine, i get no flubber animation at all! just a nice zig zag effect!

so i can either formet the e: with slayers and reinstall the apps or i can unlock the hdd and plug it in to my pc and use xplorer 360 to remove said corrupted file!

anyway if anyone can clear up any of these bizarre problems that would be fantastic.

Peace out

Ed

flashfxp will not make the ini file bad
use x2config maker to do your colours (pc app) then ftp it to E:/
error 13 is to do with ms dash that is in C:/ have you changed anything in C:/
you may have to reformat the hole hard drive whitch you will have to do with slayer anyway will not just do E:/

I dont htink so, i did put xbmc.xml onto c and the xbmc.xbe file but im sure i removed them, ive downloaded the x2cm, so i will redo the ini file with that. im also gonna try deleting the ini file with xplorer 360 and ill check the c part. to see if anythign is there that shouldnt be. what files shoudl be on the c partition so i can remove the ones that shouldnt be there?

thanks

I thought id reply to my last post so people can see what i did!

I removed the corrupted ini file using xplorer 360 which solved the error 13 problem.

Then reedited the ini file using x2 config maker and overwrote the original x2config.ini and ftp'ed that to my E partition.

Xbox is now alive and 'PINK' (my daughter likes pink)'

thanks to al that helped
