X2 Config Live question

I have an older Xbox with a Xecuter 2 chip that I want to upgrade to the 2.6CE. I don't understand this X2 Config Live ini file? Do I need it? The HDD is already upgraded and I have all the apps I need and I am running Avalaunch as a Dashboard. I was hoping to just switch out the chips and flash it to the X2 5035 bios. Also when you flash the bios do you switch banks before you flash like you do with the 3CE. For example do you start it up with bank 1 enabled for flashbios 3.01 then switch to bank 2 and flash? It's a version 1 Xbox. Thanks for the help,

if you have larger hard drive i would use the x2 ini file and bump up the fan speed standed xbox run at 20% and if you use a lager hard drive you get more heat from it there is a program x2 config maker that will let you do that as well as change the boot colours of xbox you all so can just open it with note pad and bump up fan speed by changeing the nuber used
eg
; speed of xbox fan, value 10 equals 20%, value 50 equals 100%
fanSpeed = 30



to flash the chip set switch to bank 2 then when it boots to flashbios change to bank1 it will flash bank 1 anyway but if you do this you will know that at lest if you make a mistake flashbios on bank 2 works

Thanks DJ. I can control the fan speed thru Avalaunch buy editing the XML file. One of my concerns is the Dashboard boot order. I noticed that in the X2 configlive.ini file Avalaunch is first and thats what I want. If for some reason it boots to MS dash I'm hoosed cause I can't Ftp it to fix it and this Xbox has a dead DVD player. This is what I done to get ready for the install. I put the X2 5035 bios in the C/Bios file so I have two options to flash, a network or HDD flash. And I put the X2 configlive.ini file in the root of E where my Apps, Cache, Udata, Edata files are but it's not in a folder it's just the ini file. So when I am done soldering and flash bios I should be good to go? Many thanks,
