X2 config loading......

I just flashed my v2.6 CE with x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin (v1.0 xbox). If i boot with the power button it goes to a screen that says X2 config loading..... and hangs there for a while then goes black. If i open the dvd tray it will boot to my dash. If i turn on the xbox with my eject button, the tray opens and it boots to the dash. Kinda just an annoyance, but wondered if there was something i could do to fix this....

what bank did you flash the x2 to

Turns out it was a bad DVD drive. I put a known good drive in and it works great. I dont suppose there is any way to get the Xbox to run without a dvd drive? I dont really ever use it or need it. Every thing can be done via FTP or streamed.

if your not going to backup your games with xbox you don,t need one

I guess i should have just tried this.. But as long as the power cable is hooked to the dvd drive (IDE not hooked up) then the xbox works great.

Interesting. I wonder if there is a way to fake it out (jumper wires on the DVD power/control cable, etc.) so you can remove the drive entirely. Thanks for posting your solution.
