X2 dashboard only boots sometimes

I bought two xecuter 2.6 CE modchips for my xbox and my friend. Turn power on for first time with bank 1 it says Flashbios 3.0.1 so I download the x2 5032 bios that is the 512kb bios. I flash it from disc. It boots up fine. I install the unleashed dashboard. I turn it on, off, on, off. Games and everything play just fine.

A week later I turn it on and all that I see is the flashbios screen but it says 3.0.3 now instead of 3.0.1... and I can't get back to a dashboard or to games or to any of my installer discs.

This same exact problem happened on both of the xboxes.

Any ideas of what this thing needs to be flashed to get the life back into it? I have a friend with a programmer if that helps.

Sounds like it is now booting from bank 2. X2 chips ship with FlashBIOS 3.0.1 on bank 1 and FlashBIOS 3.0.3 on bank 2. Check that your switch is set to bank 1, maybe wiggle it a bit to make sure it is making proper contact. Also check that your chip to switch plugs are securely seated.
