X2 + HDD = Confused

Hi

Im new in Xbox things.

I brought a Xbox (v1.1 i think) where an Xecuter 2 Modchip is in dont Know which one but it looks like the on on this pic

without the programmer.

I changed the HDD of the Xbox was an 5GB Storage to an 250GB Storage.
Now my Questions:

1.
Do i need a "operation system" disk installed or how Xecuter detects Games and Apps on HDD?

2.
Can i use for Xecuter 2 every X2.x bios file?

3.
Is there a way to use an other DVD/CD device instand to the builtin Thompson device?

providing that your lba48 settings are properly configured correctly,
apps and games can be detected by installing and running a hacked dash
designating certain folders to place your application and games will automatically be detected by dashes such as avalaunch

if you've got an X2.x chip, then you can flash various X2 bios to the chip
it is recommended to flash the latest X2 5035 bios to your chip
vOld version for your v1.1 box

you can replace your dvd drive, xbox-scene has tutorials on how to do that

the thing with the CD/DVD device is ok now.

but the thing with the bios is not easy when i look in the Download sektion i foun no bios called x2 5035,is it the X2ool ?But this run under Windows if i understand it right.

Can someone link me to what i need to get the new HDD run with X2.x

would be nice i search a long but dint find what im looking for :/

Try using Slayers autoinstall. It worked for me. It takes care of the drive formatting...
