X2 programmer has arrived, but...

Related to my previous thread (http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44661) I bought a X2 programmer to reflash my Xecuter 2.6.
With the programmer I also received a couple of cables which I didn't find in every tutorial.
I'm talking about the two red cables you can see in this picture (http://www.mrmodchips.co.uk/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=39&osCsid=18ea2f57e0eb9fb330ca624dabe71704).
Does anybody know what they are for?

Probably for the X2.3 chips that didn't pull voltage from the LPC but had a separate connection for getting power from the USB ports. For your 2.6 I don't believe you will need them at all.
