So i had a bad flashed x2.6CE chip, so i bought a programmer, and follwed the steps shown in the tutorial here on how to se the programmer. But when i try to run x2bm and i try to connect with the chip i get this error "0x1010"

anybody got any ideas?

ive tried all the settings in device manager. is there any other program other than x2bm that does this stuff too?

I have been fighting the same issue. As far as I can tell, so have several others. I am wondering if there is a way to flash this via disc. I have been reading and I guess I am just an idiot, because I can't figure out how to flash it, via disc, if the bios is bad.

none of the programmers I have tried will detect the chip. Any help in flashing this will be appreciated. Also I am in Dayton, Oh if there is someone in my area that is willing to help.

Thanks in advance.

yes, just like you do if it was installed in the box. Also, you need to check the printer port settings in XP's device mangler for the "use any interupt assigned" and "enable legacy plug and play" options are on.
