x2 trouble starting from chip

I have to start with the chip off power off then turn the chip back on to get it to start. It also locks up a lot when running games or programs from hard drive.

It has to be a solder point I just can't figure out which one. something must be touching. I always had the turn off then on for every startup with this chip. Every system I've had it in. I just broke my x3 so I had to go back to
the 2.6 till I get a new 3. Is the graphics better in the newier version xbox's?
Because I seen a 1.7 and the graphics looked a diffrent resolution than my 1.0.
