I have installed many x2's before but this one box I have is causing me some trouble. Flashbios loads right up and appears to flash the x2 bios all correctly over HTTP. The only problem is when I reboot it goes right to Flashbios. Changing banks on the dip switch doesn't help either.

What I have tried.
-Checked all my solder points, even cleaned it up a little
-512mb flash x2 bios on both Banks 1 and 2

It seems the chip isn't holding the flash anymore or something. Anyone have this problem already? Your help is appreciated.

I did not flash with a 1mb file. I used a 512? I havent flashed a chip in a while but I always thought I just did a 512 because in case the flash failed I could always fall back on the other bank with flashbios.

make sure your flash protect is off... because it will say it's flashing but won't acctually do anything... :( sadley... but for protection... :)
Also what bank is choosen when you see the blue screen like flashbios 3.0.3 or what ever if it's on bank 2 then keep it on there... then if you have flash protect off it will show the yellow bar and the green bar... then turn off... turn flash protect back on, switch to bank 1 and ur done... it should load up and say loading xecuter 2 w/e then show you the sexy little green affect thing and then say Xecuter rock's my box and go right to the M$ Dash... :)

It's probably not relevant, but what BIOS are you flashing over?

You aren't flashing to bank 2 with a 512k bios file from Flashbios, it is impossible to do that. My guess is your bank selector switch isn't working properly.

I am flashing over FlashBios 3.03.

For some odd reason everything seems to be working now. For a small amount of time it seemed that depending on what I put the flash protect switch on it affected whether or not it would work. As of right now it is working as it should so that is good. Thanks for all the help.
