Dear friends and fellow modders, I would like to start this post by first of all offering a huge great big thank you to all participating and particularly the mods for all their fantastic work and great advice!
I'm particularly happy right now because I just put my latest project back together (X2.6CE on v1.6) and it _actually_ works when I didn't think it would. Ever. I had to use the Xecuter Programmer to fix the problem I had in my previous post (Summary: Bad flash), I am now running with the X2CL v5035 bios in banks 3&4, with flashbios 3.03 in banks 1&2.
Ok the problem? Well .. I'm used to the X3 and so I'm slightly concerned that I see no kind of GUI when I boot the X2CL bios. I see the line which says something along the lines of "Xecuter Config Live Preparing to Run" or whatever it is in big white letters, then straight after that I see the green xbox booting animation, with xecuter rox my box below that, then I'm straight into my default MS dash.
1) Am I correct in presuming that this is normal behaviour until I have installed Slayers or AID? I am aware that the X2 configuration is stored in an .ini file -> Does this replace any kind of GUI? I am aware I can configure my dash boot priority using this.
2) Is there a manual for X2CL? I am already aware of the PC software available for configuring X2CL by writing out a compatible .ini file, but is there a users manual available anywhere? I tried looking on here briefly, then tried some googling but no results so far .. If anyone has a quick link I sure would appreciate it!
