X3 1.6 3.3v problem

I've installed a X3 on my 1.6 crystal xbox using the LPC Rebuild PCB supplied with the chip. However when I turn on the xbox with the chip installed the 3.3v LED doesn't light up, 5v is fine as it lights up. The xbox boots to the dash board as if there was no chip installed at all.

I have used a multimeter to check the voltage on pins 9 and 15 (I take it they should be 3.3v on both of these pins?) and none of them are getting 3.3v :(

I've also checked that all the LPC is connected properly with the multimeter inculding the D0 wire and all the others.

Any help on what I should do next would be great. I don't want to do something that I will regret :)

Thanks HoBoZ, will do mate, The connection between pin 9 and 15 is fine as i've tested it but where does both of these pins get the 3.3v? from the LPC hole they go through or?

I think it's C7D2. Maybe wrong, but I think it is right.

yea just keep touching those pins up. Did you connect the two pins to each other by the solder points for pin 9 and 15 on the pcb board? doing that will also help

Yes pin 9 and 15 are connected to each other. Looking around I find that the 3.3v comes from pin 15 but from the component side of the board, i'm guessing pin 15 or the solder around it isn't touching the 3.3v. I will touch it up tonight, thanks for the help.

Same problem

I had the same problem. I have the 5v led, but not the 3.3v Led. I checked the pins 9 and 15 they were both fine. I touched up my solder points to the board and powered it up, and blammo, she was back up and running. Thanks for the good advice.
