I currently have two 1.6b xbox's. One has a working X3CE, and the other has a X3 that turns the eject led from green to amber yellow. As most will know, this is a cause of the wrong flashbios installed. I am now having trouble hot swapping the chips to get the right flashbios installed on the X3-NonCE. I have booted up both chips with different alt 5v and Control Panel's and have the X3CE load up Flashbios and select via http. I then takeout the X3CE from the pin header, unplug the eject wire and hdd/lan/d0 wire and plug them into the X3-nonCE and connect that to the pin header. When that happens all the leds on the chip lights up, but the control panel has the red X logo and the flashbios screen locks up and I can't access the flashbios page via http. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I might be wrong, but the HTTP might not behave properly trying to hotswap.
Why not use the already working X3 to FTP the bios you want into "C:/Bios" on the hard drive? I believe that would behave itself a bit more.

I would have to say that I never had to hotswap, and DEFINITELY not on http.

But of course if the Http HAS to be coordinated via the chip then it would cause a lockup.

I believe that using a more stable source like using the Hard drive folder C:/BIOS that has the bios you need saved in it would make it the most easy on you.
