Simple question here. I read a lot in here about people having troubles flashing the 1957 bios to the 1MB banks (ie 1234 or 5678). Do you not have to flash it to the 12345678 2mb (off, off, off, off) bank because the file is 1,048,576 which is greater than 1,024? Just curious

lol dude... 1,048,576 is basically 1024k... a 1,048,576 bios is the size that all 1024k bios come as. you gotta realize when it says 1024k that doesn't mean exactly 1,024,000.

of course its basically the same.... but since i had read so many people here having trouble flashing to the 1mb bank and everyone who says they flashed it to the 2mb bank said they had no problems... just thought maybe it was an issue.

Re: xboxlive bans

if youve already updated your 360, then youll probably get banned just or connecting to xbox live. That lastest update was in Nov to prepare for the Facebook, Twitter update.

Re: xboxlive bans

if you were to disconnect the drive from the mobo, while having the ethernet cable attached, you'd get a RROD, but the data would be sent to MS, and you'd be banned for sure

Re: xboxlive bans

The xbox would boot fine, but they keep record tht it wasn't connected. this is why its recommended that ppl don't flash with the xbox as a psu. Im pretty sure you will be ok bcoz you are not playing online so can't be breaking there terms and cons!

Re: xboxlive bans

They can detect the disc check that Stealthed iXtreme
firmwares run. They run a disk check to try and keep
people from running games burned improperly or that
have corruption, improper stealth files, etc...

This is why if you have a benq or a samsung drive
and its already flashed flash it as soon as possible to
think its 1.4 for benq and 5.3 for samsung. Both are
NONstealth firmwares and do not run this disc check.
Ive been playing Live no issues with my benq + nonstealth
fw.

There is no nonstealth option if you have a liteon or hitachi
unfortuantly.

Re: xboxlive bans

If that is the case why did my 1,51 Hitachi boxes both get banned?

Ok then, if you know what he's talking about enlighten us. I was looking for clarification to what he is asking about to try and answer the question.

Because 1.51 had stealth checks, it was just wave-free and didn't care about video partition size.

Re: xboxlive bans

Well...after re-reading cyanarnofsky's post and my response I have no clue (good weed maybe)...LOL!

Maybe I misread his post the first time. Sorry gang.

Am I to assume now that he is saying that we should be running iXtreme 1.4 on our boxes because that CFW has no stealh check that can be detected (benq and sammy only)?

Re: xboxlive bans

can anybody else confirm that running iXtreme 1.4 on a benq is safe on XBL?
