x3 1957 password

I finally flashed my x3. I have a thompson drive and memorex -r work Benq +r did not.
I can't get passed the password screen. am I supposed to know the password?

I have the same problem
first time flashing the bios it asks for a password

nobody seems to know how to fix/why this happens

I just stuck a brand new outta the box X3 in a xbox flashed it with 1959.

Then upon restart the Flubber image had changed colours to Pink :roll: and now it boots up to a password screen?!?!?!

I put another brand new outta the box x3 in there. Flashed it with the same bios and it booted up fine... no password promt. What gives Willis?

Ya .. its a known bug (to me) my 2nd Brand NEW 1.6b (crystal Clear) Falshed to 1959(1st Time) to bank 1 and ask for passwords, fan going like Crazy , background is Pink .. when that happens u boot from a Dash on a CD / DVD with boxexplorer (or anything that u can run .xbe file from it) , then Ftp the default.xbe (that comes with 1959 to reset) to it and run it .. Fixed done Working ...

This happens to me 2 out of 2 on Crystal box and 0/3 on Black 1.6 box
Once u Fix it for the 1st Time u can re-flash it , set a psw (and it works) or do whatever it will stay fine ....

did you even see the x3 eeprom erase app that comes with the bios ????

I had exactly the same problem. My problem went a bit furthur though because I couldn't get any bios except the X3 ones to work.

The best and quickest way to fix the problem is with an Evox boot disk. Download Quix. Its specifically for making Xbox ISO's. Check out the link below for how to make an Evox boot disk.

Once you've got the boot disk, load it up, ftp the eraser file to the C: drive on your xbox, use an xbox file manager to access the HD contents (BXplorer is a good one) then execute the eraser XBE file.

Viola. Problem solved.

and TBH what a waste of time this is. the evox XBE is default.xbe - thjats what the xbox boots

so why not cut all the waste of time with evox and just put the eeprom erase app on the cd (named default.xbe) ?

dude i cant find anywhere to explain what to do with it and hwo to use it and if i should put it onto a bank so dont get pissed at me man, i just want to be a satisfied customer, ive recomended you guys to all my friends because the x2 bios works, but id like to make it work with the x3 bios. so if its not to much of a problem then maybe you could tell all of us how to do it so that we could get it working.

can you take an jtag xbox on live and play copied games with it?
what kind of homebrew can you also run with jtag

lots of awesome things with jtag the only bad thing is its very esy to be detected as a jtaged xbox online. i dont know how long it takes but you might get away with being online for 5 minutes turn the xbox off next day egt online and you could be banned. idk, could take longr. its just not safe to go online (unless) you have the devkit files and flash your nand with a proper dev image. i have a couple friends who told me about them and their jtaged xboxs going online and doing the mw2 hack for people and infecting people online fore money. /MS points alot of things make me believe they are completly bsing but if you wanna find out here is the dude who goes online with his jtaged xbox. "Sprinted" he told me he would get me the files. then he removed me shortly after he accepted my friend request. i dont need him anyway. ill get the files some other way i already have lots of files for the devkit. don't ask how i got them.. i just got really lucky.
anyway retail xbox with jtag = bannd console



too bad i dont have an actual devkit to use the files i have. =/ i wonder if the files are specific for the devkits, W/e jtaged xbox is fine anyway
