well give that password a shot....The only other thing that i've heard is loading your bios on a different bank and then erasing the other bios off of the primary bank that you first set up...?? I'm not sure of the major steps of that one though... :(

Use the password eraser that was included in the .rar file. Set your switches for a 256k bank and flash an x2 bios to that bank, then load a dash and run the eraser xbe file.

i put x3 1959 bios v1.6 plus how is that the wrong bios
Then you said you used the X2 BIOS. There is no X2 BIOS compatible with the 1.6 Xbox yet.

Anyways… all you had to do was run the password eraser and all would have been normal.

I told him to flash the x2 bios, that was before I knew he had an 1.6.
But isn't the M8_16 compatiable with the 1.6? I don't know for sure.

Ahso! I didn’t catch that part. Yeah, the M8+_v16 is for the 1.6 units.

jreyes79,

Start from the beginning, boot to the backup and reflash the X3 1959 BIOS to the first 1MB combo with your switch settings set to on, on, off, off, off. If you still get a prompt for a PW, flash the M8+ BIOS to a 256k bank such as bank 8, burn the password eraser app to a cdrw or dvd in the normal manner for an Xbox disc and run the app. Don't forget to create a dummy file to buffer the space, you can follow the disc creation and burning in the flashbios tutorial for this.

maybe you should read the stickies then instead of asking questions first ?

also you didnt read the post entitled READ THIS FIRST where it tells you to include important information such as xbox version when posting problems

do not blame anyone else but yourself for not following instruction

those that follow = no problems

those that don't = problems - and they get pissy when we say RTFM - go figure
