Question is, will XICS be integrated with Flashbios, imagine a world where you pop the chip in, have all of the necessary files broadcast from your computer, come back a half hour later and the chip is flashed and all apps are installed. . .I know it'd only take out the step of "Flash X3 CL and run script" but still.

im just not interested in flashbios. if you arent smart enough to upgrade to the x3 bios as it stands then youre gonna be in trouble in your future Xbox modding experience.

There are 2 things I don't understand though.
* [Added] Micro HTTP Server (Download / Execute Files From Internet)
* [Added] X3 EEprom Emergency Format (A+B+X+Y)

The micro HTTP server, is that so that you can use your xbox as a file server to host downloads to random people over the internet, or is it like a web based control center type thing (like the one in XBMC)?
Then for the X3 EEPROM formatting, wouldn't that make it so that if you boot with the ABXY buttons down it clears your bios settings/password? That defeats the purpose of a password if anyone can instantly erase it unless there is some sort of security thing, or way to enable/disable that feature.

X3 Format - yes it will erase the password and is a loophole - but most ppl use it to lockout baby brothers and sh*t - they wont know about this back door. it will help a LOT of ppl tho who forget passwords oir corrupt their settings etc

I think the confusion is that you don't have a HTTP server, but a HTTP client - something that is capable of sending and receiving a HTTP stream, but doesn't actually serve the files themselves ... a http server would be the web server you get the files from, the HTTP client would be the browser.

Small point, but confusing.

Xecuter... What do you mean 4 releases? Updated bioses with updated features... becuase if it is then OMFG... Its nice to have a mod maufacturer that offers the full modding package... not some crappy OS to boot other companies bioses.

Ok, that is all good, but if you can could you maby add a setting to disable this feature if you have the time? All a little brother would have to do is google to find out how to get past it. Myne did that to find out the master parental lock password so he could play halo way back before I got it modded. He was also able to lookup the master BIOS password to my old dell computer (Every dell's master BIOS password is "Dell"). Once he finds the button combo, I would end up having to re-config my bios after every time that he wants to use my xbox. I'm starting to wish that hadn't taught him how to use the internet.

Then he culd google... and find the bios file that will erase the password anyways. This just makes it easier... It's not like he couldn't erase it anyways


This feature list looks sweet.... Going to have to make my own Scripts and stuff, start setting up Xbox's. Very nice... I was about to mod 2 more boxes. Well...switch the HD's and stuff from 1, make another... think instead of just ftping, I'll try the script feature out.

At SJSU (San Jose State University) Sitting in the crappy library right now, while my g/f is in class for 3 hours Hope when I get home it'll be out Doubt it but maybe if I'm lucky. Then I start making myself a script to install everything 250 GB HD.... Here I come

scripting will save me lot's of time. Gonna write my own installation script once the bios is released
then I'll change my software installation tutorials to: "download this script file and run it!" heh

Are the build numbers like actually just the number of build... or is the new one the equivalent to 2.6.6.6 So like Different classes of release... because 700 different versions each assigned a different number... jeez... I really don't think so...
