Speak English damnit ... you can at least use "real" letters :)

I wish I was multilingual - I can order beer in Japan, and in several other non English speaking countries, but thats about it I'm afraid. I am fluent in multiple programming languages - great for talking to a computer, but not so good for talking to another person :(

don't you learn other languages at school? here i learn german, english and french, next to dutch.

yea but does anyone actually learn anything in language classes at school??!

BTW- this is funny for all the people who spent ages making a x3 1959 bios tutorial for the 2nd competition, lol. Everyone will have the 2666 release (s'pose some of the lucky ones get an x3 and stuff for it) :)

Very nice, especially for the ones that actually did their XBOX's manually! Nice for the noobies also but not knowledgable experience... Hopefully there won't be noobie questions on the scripts. It can't get any easier...

Last time I took a language class in high school was over twenty years ago :) .... I did a semester of german, italian, and french, followed by a year of german. I still remember some of my german. I learnt a little japanese for a business trip - enough to say hello, thankyou, ask for directions, order beer, etc. When you don't practice a language for a long time, you lose the skill. I was quite good at German (I was told I had an ear for languages and accents, but unfortunately not for music), but dropped "arts and humanities" style subjects in favour of advanced maths, computer science, engineering science, physics, chemistry, etc.

Looking back, I regret not knowing another language ... though as an Australian, my English isn't too bad, and after living in the US for some time now, I speak American and Canadian OK as well. Moving to "the south" has provided some new challenges - I am not sure what they speak here sometimes, but it sure doesn't sound like English :)

XICS ..... 2 words:
"slayer your" services are not needed anymore by any proud x3 user. :D
Tell you what makes me laugh. Lot's of the people who slagged off Slayers and the people who used it are the same people who are drooling over the new BIOS incorporating a feature that, by the look of it, does basically the same thing.

Please don't mis-understand me. The new BIOS looks fantastic and seems, as promised, ground-breaking. However, the hypocrisy of some people leaves a lot to be desired.

p.s. Quote "XICS....2 words: "Slayer your"". Well, that just makes no sense!

Great job on the bios Team Xecuter, the stuff in the bios release is amazing, but i'm kind of dissapointed to see that there isnt any more extensive support for the XLCD. That is what i was really looking forward to, but i really like the support for fat32/16 usb pendrive.

I am a fan of Slayers - it is still the fastest way for a noob to get an Xbox up and running --- and doing what they want (playing games, backing up games, playing with different dashes, etc).

Until the new BIOS is released, Slayers is still the easiest way to get a box up and happening ... but not for long. How long until we get "X3 Install Discs" available on BitTorrent, that you copy to a thumb drive, plug into your Controller/USB adapter, and then run from X3. No more coasters from bad disks ... Team Xecuter have just made it a hell of a lot easier for everyone to enjoy Xbox modding.

Token, you are, as usual, totally right and I believe that the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle will be the best option for most users. The new option with thumb drives will be fantastic..But I still don't like people ragging Slayer for his significant contribution to Xbox users so far.

Let's face it, the easier it is to mod, the more people will have a go and out little community will grow ever larger.

Heres a + bump for your reputation. Take care mate.

Same again, slayer is the easiest thing to use, does it alll for you, and excellent skins avliable. And as you said, if it easy to do then people will do it. with the x3 nothing is hard and slayer just helps it on its way, only thing ppl might have trouble with is irc for bios,

X3 Config Live Build 2666
Bios NewsWe are doing some last minute testing to the latest bios and so far everything is looking good. It's currently at build 2666 so as you can see there have been a massive amount of enhancements. Instead of teasing we will reveal the new features to you right now. The build number may change slightly when we release which will be as soon as we can.

The X3 Config Live Bios / OS / whatever you want to call it is the world's most complete and most advanced bios available for the Xbox. Nothing is as powerful or as feature packed and at no time has anyone come so close to offering so much all in one bios release.

First let's look at the simple changelog which we always provide with our releases:

[1959 -> 2666]

* [Fixed] IE FTP Bugs Fixed
* [Fixed] Qwix DIR listing bugs
* [Fixed] Threading-issue that sometimes left an idle thread when executing dashboard
* [Fixed] Total re write of menu loading mech - faster and rock solid stability
* [Fixed] Cleaned up video init code
* [Fixed] Corrected LFRAME / D0 pull to 0V timing so it's no longer constant
* [Added] Xecuter Install Command System*
* [Added] Xecuter Advanced Skinning Control**
* [Added] VGA support for ALL Xbox versions (v1.0 - v1.6+)
* [Added] USB Support
* [Added] FAT 32, FAT 16 (for USB Pendrives)
* [Added] ISO9660 support
* [Added] ZIP support
* [Added] Micro HTTP Client (Download / Execute Files From Internet)
* [Added] Video Region Quick Swap (LEFT+X NTSC, LEFT+Y PAL)
* [Added] X3 EEprom Emergency Format (A+B+X+Y)
* [Added] Pop Up warning if text input becomes truncated
* [Added] Option to enable / disable boot to DVD Rom (D:default.xbe)
* [Added] Multi-Layer logo.x support (Currently a bug so disabled)

What XBL banning feature? The existing BIOS already has XBL protection (wont let you log into XBL is you have it turned on) ...
