Here is my cituation,

I just installed a X3 on my 1.6 Box. I get the three lights inside, the blue outside, and the box loads up to Bios. Here is where the problem comes... I get nothing but the beginning page of the bios I CANNOT select any of the update versions. I move the remote control and nothing else moves... it is almost like it loaded and then immediately froze. Switches are ON<ON<OFF<OFF<OFF. I can boot into the regular M$ dash but I cannot get the box to update. I have tried cds (I have a samsung Drive) & even placing the files on the HD as well.

I am really bogged down I have tried reading other posts but saw nothing like this.

Thanks in advance

I cannot flash anything on to it It seems like it freezes on the bios screen I tried both bios 3.01 & 3.03 and they both seem to freeze upon startup. this is my first mod but It seems to be hooked up correctly... or else I would not get that screen @ all right??? Any other way that I can flash my chip??? any suggestions??? I get to see the option of flashing thru cdrom, hd , etc... but my controler won't let me select the one I want...

Thanks...

It was what I thought... a new controller solved the problem... beware holiday pack controlers...!!!

I had a similar problem. I couldn't move up and down in the menu using the first controller port but when I tried it with the third controller port it worked fine.

i have the same problem, maybe it's a bad-soldered wired... anyone knows x3ce uses a particular wire to access the pad?

PAD

Just want to say a massive thank you for the info on this thread, my friend and I searched for days trying to figure out why that when he went into his backup bios it seemed to freeze and he could not move down. As i say after days of reading we just changed the pad to controler port 2, low and behold it moved down, thus letting us flash the bios. Thanks Guys!!!!:D :D
