i installed my x3 with the xapt3r and all the leds shine so i know it has a good connection but when i flash the chip with 3029 it goes through all the steps perfectly and turns off but when i try to reboot it powers on and off twice and then i get no screen. Ive checked the swithches so its on the right bank.Any suggestions?

? Only one for the X3 so I don't think so.....
Can you boot to the X3 Bios, hold down the white button on boot or does it frag before?
Is it PAL or NTSC? you might have to do a full reset, XYBA, have a search for resetting the X3:
Boot XBOX into config live.
After you think you are in config live, press 'A'.
Now press 'up' twice, then 'A'.
Now press 'left' once, then 'A'.
What version Box is it if its 1.6b then I don't think the xapt3r is compatible, needs a solder install.
Download a different Bios, an earlier version? you will probably have to boot to the back up bios first. Are you using 512 or 1 meg bios? how are you installing the bios, FTP or cd/DVD?

alright. So you used the right bios which should be X3 3029.bin. Can you tell me what switch positions you have it on? If on on off off off, have you tried off on off off off?

yo if u havent fixed it already try to check the soldering on the lpc (pin-header).the bios uses the entire lpc so if the soldering are bad there it will frag when u power on.good luck

unsual that you flash with the correct bios and it's fragging. Do this. Delete your current copy of X3 bios and either go download fresh copy of X3 3029 or better yet X3 1959 (for testing purposes). Make sure you use the correct bios version for your 1.2 xbox (ie if 3029 then use X3 3029.bin or X3 1959.bin bioses)
Flash them to banks 5678 (off on off off off).
