First off, hi again everyone been a while since i've been here...
This time it's a X3 3294 Flashbios 3.0.3 faulty flash problem. I installed everything correctly to my knowledge, and I get the pretty 3.0.3 screen. My switches at time of flashing were off-on-off-off-(off) I flashed the chip via http, and it shut down. Everytime I try to start it up again it does a quick frag. I've tried various dip switch setting, nothing gets me a flashbios anymore. I used the tutorial at xbox-scene.net and it said I had a 1.6b, I agreed with hynix everything. I flashed it with (oh huh huh I "forgot" the name of the bios, but I used the one with the plus in it), and just need a refresher in why this happens. It works regular ms dash if I hold down power button, by the way. Any help appreciated.

No, if flashbios 3.0.3 is what you mean, no. It's a 1.6b, and now I don't see any blue screen no matter what dip switches I turn.

Just now I switched the switches randomly and got a blue flashbios 3.0.3 screen on these dip switch settings:
off off on off off

ok - so use a little brainpower to work this out!!!!

Right... off off on off (off) is bank 78 512k according to this sticky:

http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23297

So, this means when you flashed your chip with switches set to off on off off (bank 5678 1024k), you used a 512k BIOS (as banks 7 + 8 weren't touched).

Exactly what was the filename of this 512k BIOS you flashed?

Edit: when you get this right, DO NOT FLASH WITH SWITCHES SET TO OFF ON OFF OFF OR YOU WILL LOSE FLASHBIOS 3.0.3 COMPLETELY. Set to on on off off prior to flashing.

Well I understand that which is why I didn't flash. How would one come back from that though?

Title states 5035... you didn't try using an X2 bios or something did ya?

Any way it's pretty obvious now. boot using bank 78 which gets you flashbios. Then change the switches like martin said and then try your flash again. If you used the right file last time (i.e. v16 version) then try downloading a new copy. it may have been corrupted.

Come back from what?

I've laid it out for you!! Boot with switches set to off off on off off (as you've already proven this has flashbios on it). You should boot to FlashBIOS. If so, AS I ALREADY SAID set switches to on on off off off to prepare for flashing your 1MB X3 BIOS. Don't forget it's the v16 version you need. If all goes well when the Xbox switches off, just switch it back on and you should get the Xecuter Rox my Box logo and X3 ConfigLive.

I did ask what file you tried to flash to the chip but you didn't answer? Was it an X2 BIOS by any chance?
