At first I got the frag, so I checked my adapter and made sure it was getting good connection after I did that I got no frag error so I thought every thing was fine and dandy so I connected the x3 chip the lights on the chip glow, but no bio screen flashes up at all, it goes right to the regular xbox boot screen and goes to the adjust time screen, I have no idea what is going on this is my first mod, I read around and read all the frag so that helped my first problem but I am lost with what to do now. thanks for any help guys

What version is your Xbox?
Have you seated the D0 wire correctly and in the right spot?
Are you turning on the Xbox with a fast tap of the power button?
What are your switch settings when you boot?
What X3 combo do you have, the X3 + Pro Switch or those two and the X3LCD?

wow sorry should of listed all of that, I have a version 1.0 xbox, from the looks of it the d0 wire looks like it is in the correct spot and seated, yea I am just hitting hte xbox button once not holding it for a long time and the switches on the front are all off all the buttons are closest to the numbers and this is the version of the X3 I have http://www.modchipworld.com/product_info.php?products_id=110 that is the one my wife snagged me for xmas and I am using the Xapt3r solderless adapter. thanks again.

Let’s double check your D0 first, refer to this image for the v1.0 D0: http://www.teamxecuter.com/23b/lite/1011_lpc_wires.jpg

You might also want to make sure the Xapt3r has been seated fully to the motherboard. Follow these instructions to get a full seat: http://www.teamxecuter.com/xapter/

Also, make sure that on first boot and setup or flashing you’re using the original Xbox controller and original A/V cables that it came with. Sometimes the power switch is very sensitive, so make sure it’s a fast tap on the button to boot. Set your switches to “on, on, off, off, off” (assuming you’re using the included switch). And try booting into the backup BIOS by holding the eject and power buttons at the same time.

Neither of those links pertain to the X3 chip.
They pertain to the proper installation of a Xapter, which is the same method for seating a Xapt3r. The first image also shows the correct location of the D0 on the v1.0 Xbox Motherboard. If you have a problem with my technique of making sure has seated his Xapt3r and located D0 on a v1.0 Xbox, please feel free to elaborate on your method.

He has the Xapt3r not the Xapter, the Xapt3r works with X3, but the Xapter dosen't so the link you had for the Xapter didn't pertain to the X3 chip or the adapter for it.

i think the purpose of the link was to illustrate how to push the d0 connection in which is the same for both adapters

On a solderless mod, this means the d0 is correctly aligned but the lpc is not. 1.0s suck for solderless because of the filled lpc holes... Just move it around a bit until all the necessary lights light up.

Yea I moved it around now the adapter lights up and both the lights on the mod chip light up, but the xbox still boots up normally, I can't get the bios screen to show at all.

Re: Successful flash on Lite on 7485 w/ LT+

Odds are you didn't flash LT+ correctly, I've done 3 already from LT to LT+ and it couldn't have been easier, The only thing I needed to do with AP25 stuff is patch the iso's before burning or they wouldn't run (Black screen)
