Hey guys.

Just got done installing my first mod and I have a few questions.

When I turn on the Xbox IT boots up then shuts down twice and then the third time it stays on.
Now the power button is flashing red and green and the x3 switch on the front is just red with the power blue light on.

I can see inside the xbox and the chip itself has 2 blue lights that are on and there is one red light on.

Where can I start looking for my mistakes?
Any have this issue before?

Be easy on me I tried my best.

OK I did some more reading up and looks as if I have what is called Fragging.
So what I will do is double check my solder points.
And I also read that I need to flash the bios and this will take care of this problem also? Is that correct or is the culprit my inability to solder correctly.

It's the soldering - lots of people dont get it on there first Xbox. Re-solder your points... check them, and re-check them. If the power is flashing red/green, then there is something wrong with the soldering, not the bios. It's only if you flash the bios, then your screen displays black.

If your red light on the swittch is on.. it means the modchip is disabled. You MIGHT be holding the power button to long also, and booting to it disabled... Try to tap it, maybe you just dont have a HD plugged in, and it's trying t o boot to the MSdash. If you tap the power and the light is still red... probably bad soldering.

Reset eject adapter

For some reason when I use the reset eject adapter the Xbox will not power on.
But it powers on when I just use the original power cord direct to the Mother board.

The power button now only flashed green and yellow.
Back to the drawing board I guess.

Well I resoldered twice with no luck so I am going to start from scratch .
Take all of it off and clean it and then redoit again.

I will have to get a new pcb board bacause the one I have looks pretty beat up.

I wanted to make sure I did not destroy my xbox so i hooked everything back up and it works fine. Just had to reset the clock and everything so that was a load off my mind.
