X3 and LIVE!

Sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere, but I have searched.
I've lots of X-boxes but don't use Live! so haven't any experience of running a chip box on Live!
If I have X3 install with a standard X-box HD (apps installed to E, will I be able to connect to Live! or will M$ detect things like XBMC or DVD2Xbox etc??

Yes it will work providing the drive is locked, and you boot with the chip off using original games.
