X3 and v1.6

I've finished 2 XBOX's in the last week, both v1.6 using X3. No problems. :D Even if the guides were in Braille you should be able to follow them! :D Take you time, don't drink anything with Caffeine before you start! :!: Should be a breeze. The only thing I would add would be to check the length of the pin header before you solder it to the board. I trimmed mine so the X3 would sit flush.

I wouldn't have meddled with the pinheader.

If you ever want to fit the XLCD, the extra space gained by the length of pins is taken up by the XLCD cable.

I thought the same as you to begin with. I then added the XLCD and realised what a good fit it actually was.

plus god forbid you get a loose piece of metal or something from other mods you may do, could cause a short that much easier, but if your careful and dont plan further addons, why not do it, sounds good to me.....congrats on successful installs, i used to be skeptical as well until i did it, what a breeze
