X3 and v1.6

I've finished 2 XBOX's in the last week, both v1.6 using X3. No problems. Even if the guides were in Braille you should be able to follow them! Take you time, don't drink anything with Caffeine before you start! :!: Should be a breeze. The only thing I would add would be to check the length of the pin header before you solder it to the board. I trimmed mine so the X3 would sit flush.

I wouldn't have meddled with the pinheader.

If you ever want to fit the XLCD, the extra space gained by the length of pins is taken up by the XLCD cable.

I thought the same as you to begin with. I then added the XLCD and realised what a good fit it actually was.

plus god forbid you get a loose piece of metal or something from other mods you may do, could cause a short that much easier, but if your careful and dont plan further addons, why not do it, sounds good to me.....congrats on successful installs, i used to be skeptical as well until i did it, what a breeze
