Manually installing game updates

Hi all,

I tired to install a game update to my HDD using Xplorer360 extreme and did everything I though I had to do.

I downloaded the game update and copied it using Xplorer360 to one of the partition areas (cache directory if thats right, could someone confirm) but when I turned on the xbox and started the game nothing new happened.

I assumed I would have seen an update screen come up, like you would if you where connected to xbox live, but nothing happened which makes me think it wasn't working and perhaps I had not done something right.

Any ideas?

Also, if I where to install an expansion pack where do I copy those on the drive? (I am guessing that is only something you can do on a JTag xbox)?

Thanks!

Re: Manually installing game updates

Nothing will happen becuase you already installed the update by adding the file to the cache.

Re: Manually installing game updates

Ahhh right, I see.

I was expecting to see the same 'install update' screen and progress bar like you would get if you downloaded it from live.

So if I just keep sticking the updates into that folder they are just picked up?
