X3 and Xapt3r problem

Hi,

Started this install over a week ago on 1.4 Xbox and am having the following problem.

I installed the adapter (I have to mention the adapter I received was not like the one I ordered with the lights on, it was just blue plastic with the pins on it) and eveything seemed ok as the bios install screen appeared. First problem was that I couldn't navigate the bios install menu as none of my pads were recognised, even the official MS ones. Solved this by using my DVD remote and installed bios 3294 over ftp. Bios seemed to install correctly and Xbox powered down at the end of the install.

On restarting with a short push it immediately powers down, a long push boots to MS dash. I can access the Bios install screen by pressing power on and eject and I've tried reflashing the bios and a different bios but still the same results.

I've spent the last week reinstalling the Xapt3r, X3 and bios with and without the external switch and I always get the same result. Chip and adapter supplier has not yet responded to my emails, I've spent hours searching online and although I've found others with exactly the same problem I have not yet found a solution.

Would someone please put me out of my misery and point me in the right direction .

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks for the interest but the replacement Xapt3r arrived yesterday, connected it this morning and everythings fine with the bios already installed by my previous attempts.

I can only assume that I was sent an Xapt3r for the X2, no response at all from mod-chip.com who I bought it from.

I wanted to post and say that I am having the exact same problem as steshell. If anyone has any info to add, I'm more than happy to hear it. At this point, however, I'm going to assume I was sent the wrong Xapt3r by Divineo.com. I'm mostly posting this so that if anyone else runs into similar problems, they will know that they are not alone.

Below is a summary of my issue:
I installed the Xecuter 3CE chip as specified by Team Xecuter. The XBOX boots to FlashBios v.3.0.0 (although the text is not lined up on the screen properly). I flash the chip with Xecuter Bios 3294 via wired network connection. The flash appears to have been successful and the XBOX turns itself off. Then, when I try to turn on the XBOX with the chip enabled, it powers up (the lights and fans come on, but no video) and then it immediately powers down again.

-XBOX ver. 1.4 or 1.5
-Xecuter 3CE w/ solder-less adapter that does not appear to be a Xapt3r
-flashed with Xecuter Bios 3294 (from XBINS)

I also received a solder-less adapter that is just a blue piece of plastic. The solder-less adapters I have used in thew past were much more substantial (thicker plastic, diagnostic LEDs, etc).

Thanks in advance for any additional info....

For Clarification:

I thought I was going to get one of these:

But the one that Divineo.com sent to me looks like this, but transparent blue:

Yeah, exactly my problem, you have the wrong adapter.

I think that the adapter that we were sent was for an earlier version of the Xecuter.

Thanks for checking back, steshell!

Divineo.com sent an email yesterday indicating that they are sending me the correct adapters. :)

I'll try to remember to re-post once they have been received.
