Today out of no where my X3 decided to boot to the FlashBios... After my stomach hit the floor i finally found out that my dip switches aren't working right, i put the 1 and 2 switches to the right but they don't alway register as being on... once i do get into my X3 config Live just barely touching the switches makes them change and i can see it in the upper right hand corner of the X3 Config Live screen. i have found that if i select the 2MB slot by leaving all the switches left it works fine... just wondering if this has happened to anyone else... and is it a problem if i'm using my 1MB X3 Bios and booting up by leaving the 2 MB setting on??? it does seem to work fine so far...

i havent had this problem, however you may have pinched your wires somewhere as they're so thin its pretty easy to do. i would suggest that you examine the black wire loom (for the switch panel, duh) and see what issues there are. i know on my first x3 install one of the wires was popped out on mine, and had to solder it directly to the chip. works fine now though :O

dont see it being a problem if it boots the bios you want.....i mean its only looking at those switches momentarily during boot...if it boots to the modded bios then the bios is in memory and the switch makes no difference

i mean could cause issues with shortages maybe in the long run who knows....could always contact your reseller and get a replacement

Unplug the switches until you get a new set...Should just boot everytime then.. This will select the full 2MB bank as a default (I think!)
