I never even got my PC to detect my drive, there is no movement inside, its almost as if its died.Farly said:Prep a usb stick using iPrep, drag the l-o-eras.exe program onto it.
Boot into dos and use the 'l-o-eras.exe <portno>' command (without <>) to erase you drive. You will first get a FF80 status, keep doing it until you get a FF72 status. Your drive will now be erased properly.
Then you should probably proceed to write to the drive using DOS also.
There are several tutorials on this that you can find.
You have your original firmware don't you?!
would help if you explained exactly what you did to put the drive into this state in first placeNathan1456 said:My drive does not get detected by my SATA on my computer, Im wondering if i have fried it or not?
I did absolutelty nothing, Unplugged it then put it back in and now its doing this. At first I was leaning the drive on top of the heatsinks on the Xbox 360 then it turned itself off and i kept trying to put it back on and noticed they where touching. Could touching the outer metal shell of the drive fry it?braveheart43 said:would help if you explained exactly what you did to put the drive into this state in first placeNathan1456 said:My drive does not get detected by my SATA on my computer, Im wondering if i have fried it or not?
What do you think i should do then?braveheart43 said:mate if your drive no longer operates - you have more to worry about than unlocking it
