x3 bios 3029 problem

Helppppp please

Right took x2.6 outta box and replaced it with x3 because i was having soo many problems with games locking and audio dropping on this 1.6.....
Anyway boots fine to flashbios screen burnt bios.bin to dvd and cd-rw selected from cd/dvd and all it keeps doing is saying "bios unknown halting" or somat like that.

switch bank on on off off off (right right left left left) etc tried it all ways but still nothing anyone have any suggestions please

this is 1.6 and not 1.6b right? 1.6 uses flashbios 3.0.1 or less and 1.6b uses 3.0.3 to flash properly. Second, make sure to use bios for v1.6/1.6b xboxes.

yes i know all that and if you look at how the bank switch is, its flashbios 3.0.1

Flash-protect?
make sure u have the little switch on the x3 chip set to flash enable (if its a CE then u should have a red light on it)
Also try flashing with no switch attached...(unplug the bank selector at the x3)
