I found out how to flash my x3 via dvd but i forgot to change the front switch, does this matter? My xbox now boots up and goes to the xecuter rox my box menu. Is this an optional dashboard? can this be used as a dashboard or is it only for the settings of your mod chip?

Don't start a new thread for an old problem!!
It's not an optional dashboard, you're in the X3 Config Live screen. There are plenty of tutorials about this on the site (check the links in my sig as well).
The first thing you should do is to flash the backup ROM with FlashBIOS 3.0.3 as you've written over the only working copy of it. Again, this is done through the X3 Config Live menus.
Take the time to read the material available - do not flash anything other than the backup ROM and don't change the switches from what they are set to.
