Ok so here I go,

I have read many posts of similar issues, however not the exact issue. Please forgive me if this is repetitive.

So I’m the owner/operator of a brand-new xecuter3 chip. – Sweet- I had my buddy install it for my and he also flashed it with the x3 bios. Awesome, worked great for two days. THEN I started playing with the bios settings.

I may mention I have a v1.6 and the dip switches are set to off, on, off, off, off. I also have several dashboards loaded (Evo, Unleash, avalaunche) and a IBM Hard drive.

So anyway I started playing with some of the BIOS settings, and tried downloading some skins from the download skin thing in the x3live. It told me it downloaded the skin, and with the message screen up “skin downloaded” the Xbox froze. I left it for several minutes in case it was unpacking or something however it remained frozen. When I tried to boot back into x3live, the first little animation comes up but then freeze’s once xecuter rox my box. No matter what I do. I can get my dashboards to come up if I want. I can also get the FlashBIOS screen up. Soooo I tried to reflash the BIOS via HTTP. I get the connection, it uploads the BIOS and installs it no problem. Reboot. Freeze’s same place.

Any Ideas Much Appreciated.

Thanks

it might be a bug with 2913. I would suggest to switch to banks 1234 (on on off off off) and install version 1959 bios instead. I believe a new bios is coming pretty soon to iron out lots of issues with 2913 so be patient.

I had to do this myself on one of my boxes.

You do not have to install the 1959 bios and go through all of that.

Just load up your dash, use the file manager (different depending on the dash you use) and delete the files as stated in the other post I listed.

Takes about 30 seconds and the problem is fixed.
