Samsung TS-H943 problems with iPrep 10.7 and iExtreme 1.61

So long story been working on this for about 10 hours straight slowly progressing now hit a rock.

I downloaded iPrep 10.7 iExtreme samsung 1.61 and this is the first time I ever attempted to mod the xbox 360 samsung TS-H943 with the via sata ports on my PC.

I tried using jungleFlasher v1.73 beta and found out I cannot boot the sata hard drive and the samsung drive at the same time. (Having the same problems as everyone else on here with that.) So I found out how to make a bootable jump drive and played with that forever, finally figured out that it takes a lot of timing which I still don't know how I did it, but finally after playing with it, it found the drive and flashed it.

And by playing with it I mean- starting xbox with the samsung drive plugged into the computer, then running the iprep /starting xbox after typing the two no's and a yes on the iprep bootup with sata plugged in/ starting xbox , then running iprep, and after typing the two no's and a yes plugging in the samsung drive. It worked once.

But now since it is flashed, I am having an error 65 and the drive is constantly trying to move the laser. Also after trying to find the drive with iprep to reflash it, the center light flashes green (which I read that means it was a bad flash) I tried reflashing with no success.

Can anyone please help me with either the timing (when to plug in the sata and when to turn off/on the xbox) or how I can get the program iprep dos program to find my drive. It starts at status 0XFF with neither the drive plugged in to status 0X80 when I plug it in.

Re: Samsung TS-H943 problems with iPrep 10.7 and iExtreme 1.

If iPrep works then Jungle Flasher should also work. Try using the latest version of Jungle Flasher and follow the latest Jungle Flasher tutorial exactly. Also check out the Jungle Flasher Troubleshooting Guide and make sure you look at the FAQ / Help section at the end of the Jungle Flasher tutorial. I know that when working with Samsung drives, the only way Jungle Flasher would recognize it was if I restarted the computer with the drive plugged in and turned on. I would turn off the computer, hook up the drive, power it on, then turn on the computer. I sometimes have to do this twice as it would freeze when loading Windows - or I would turn on the drive while / right after Windows loaded.

EDIT: Also make sure the drive is hooked up to a Primary Master SATA port - it should tell you all this in the guides I mentioned.

Did you save the original firmware for your Samsung drive? And did you correctly spoof the firmware before you flashed it to the drive?

Re: Samsung TS-H943 problems with iPrep 10.7 and iExtreme 1.

Sorry for not responding right away. I have my sata hard drive hooked up to the raid sata ports and the 360 drive hooked up to the primary normal sata ports.

So I tried a few different setups

1. Starting windows with 360 drive sata plugged in, not turned on. -Powers up fine, shows 12 I/O devices to choose from.

2. Starting computer with 360 drive sata plugged in, not turned on. Then turning on device once windows began to load.
- Computer freezes, but will move a frame about every 5
- min. Move mouse a little bit, and 5 min it will move there.
- if I shut the 360 off, the computer resumes.

3. Started computer with 360 sata plugged in and while loading Windows, powered up 360
- Windows looked frozen, but after leaving for a while it
- started to load, then the screen went black and nothing - else happened

4. Starting the 360 drive and computer at same time.
- I found out letting the computer sit for about 5 min (looks - frozen), but it will finally load windows. I start jungle
- flasher and it does not show any of the via ports (shows
- only 4 I/O devices to choose from). Also noticed under
- device manager that the SATA controller has an error and - said it could not be started.

Any other thoughts?
