x3 bios unlocker not working

Ok. Im going to give this a try. This is what I figured Id have to do (I wasnt sure about what bios I should use but this gives me better idea. This is what I was looking for).

ok I accidently locked my chip. Im assuming this is very close to the same problem you have. Even though you didnt lock it, it is locked anyway.
I put the evox bios the 1mb bank. Xbox booted fine but nothing worked. I then put a file on the hard drive called x3 eeprom erase. I browsed to it using the file manager. I ran that program. I then rebooted using eject/power button. Installed the bios of choice. And btw 3294 is having compatability issues with the X3. I hope this is of some use.

None of it worked for me.
EvoxM8 bios working perfectly with no problems. I just ended up using that. All my applications and everything work fine. If I lose my drive, Ill just use my other xbox with teh smartxx v3 in it to set up the new drive, or Ill just use config magic. No big deal. I guess. Im still disappointed in the x3 chip overall. But it works.
