Down loaded what I think is the correct file for the bios. The file name is "X3 1957 REPACK.RAR" which has a size of 1634 KB instead of 1024 KB.

My question is what has to be done to this file so that I can install it on the x box?

I would think from the number of veiws some one could help, or could it be that it's more fun not to help.

The RAR is 1.6mb because it has a BIOS for 1.0 - 1.5 Xboxes and a seperate 1.6 Xbox BIOS..along with the changelog.txt, readme.txt, and the "x3 erase" XBE

Incase you don't know...the RAR file is an archived (compressed) file ... get WinRAR to decompress it

Thankyou for the reply. I finally figured it out that I needed a program called WinRar. Downloaded it and was able to extract the bin from it and downloaded it to the xbox.

Re: iprep mkubt error

use an older version of i prep maybe? or does that disable your ability to flash with 1.6 because i don't even think you need i prep. just create a bootable device in windows and place the files you need on it.
