X3 black screen on v1.3 Xbox

I am having trouble getting the x3 working on my 1.3 xbox. i successfully flashed the bios but cannot get it to start afterwards. when i turn it on with the chip on i can hear the splash screen starting up but no video and the chip does not start after that. it works fine with the chip off and for flashbios. i have done a 1.6 and 1.6b box with no problems, but cannot get the 1.3 to start. it works fine with xecuter 2.3b. i have re-soldered so many times that i am afraid i'm going to wear out my motherboard. i am sure that soldering is not the problem i have tried pin header and wire install with no change. i'm beginning to think that there is something else i should be connecting that is not in the instructions. anyone else have a 1.3 working with the x3? any help would be appreciated.

do you use the regular stock cable that came with your xbox ?
if not do it !

did you try to flash a m8 bios ?

I just ask because a few people here said the x3 bios was going to PAL display mode automaticly after they have flashed it .... and since your location is USA .. you tv might not show anything if it is really in PAL

It's not in Pal. It works in a 1.6b xbox that i was working on at the same time. So I know everything with the chip is fine. i actually was lucky to be working on 2 at the same time since i ran into this prob and the flashbios was 3.0.0 and wouldnt work on the 1.6b. i was able to flash it on the 1.3 and swapped to the 1.6b and reflashed the flashbios to 3.0.2. it just seems that there is something else that needs to be connected like an lpc rebuild or something. thanks for the response, i will keep working on it and any further help would be welcome

you used the chip in a 1.6(b) and it worked and now
back in the 1.3 it isn't ?

OK .. I guess you reflashed it with the non 1.6 BIOS ?

Damn. I feel so stupid now. I didnt even think about that...duh! Reflashed with 1943 Gold non 1.6 and BOOM up and running. all the wasted time cuz of something that simple. thanx a lot i was racking my brain trying to get this. and was getting ready to just go back to my 2.3b. when you posted. Thanx again
