I'm modding a v1.6 box. Tripple checked all the connetions and checked for grouding problem. I have flashed the newest version of the bios. Flashes perfectly. After reboot, it boots straight to the MS dash where, of course, I can't do anything. Flashed several versions of the 16 bios and get the same result. Not sure if I'm phooked here or not. Any help would be awesome.

Guys,
When you seen that "ROX MY BOX", it means that you had flashed your modchip correctly. And as far I know (for XBOX 1.6) you did it in memory bank 1 to 4, which is the first 1 MBit of flash memory.
By then, you may be able to use the copied DVD game disk.
To add more features to your XBOX, you need to do the following:
1. you have to install a new dashboard bypassing the MS dashboard.
2. And Install other application software such such XBOX Media Player or DVD player.

I guess you need to read some instructions posted in the teamxecuter homepage.
My following suggestions would help but it's better to read the instruction from the homepage.
1. Hold and press the "A" button immediately after powering-up the xbox. You would e able to get into the X3 Config Live Bios setup. Just like the CMOS bios in our PC. From there you would be able to set the IP address, etc.
2. FTP to your XBOX and upload the new dashboard (be sure to download it first from the internet thru your PC).
3. From the XBOX Config Live, look for the menu on Quicklaunch (and select which dashboard you want to run).
That's it. onw you got the new dashboard, you may be able to copy disk to your xbox HDD and install some applications.

I hope I helped.

chillsip,
If you had a successful flash to main memory (let's say at the 1st 1MB and the DIP switches was at ON ON OFF OFF OFF) then you should do a QUICK PRESS to the power button and the X3 logo should turn BLUE. With a QUICK PRESS to the power button, ENABLES the MODCHIP while a LONG PRESS DISABLES the MODCHIP and enables the original BIOS.
If still dosn't work, let me know at what MEMORY BANK, and what DIP switch setting, and what BIOS file you flash the MODCHIP.
