Xbox V 1.0
Xecuter 3 (3.0.1)
No other dashboards installed

Ok Ive read and read and read the forums im still not sure if it's D0 Error but heres the situation...

1.) When i quickly press the power button (like the teamxecuter tutorial said) I am able to get the Blue light on the switch and the FlashBios screen appears with everything working normaly.

2.) When i hold the power button longer in order to boot original dash thats when it goes wacko. The light on the switch turns red but the whole xbox as well as the switch turns on and off 3 times and finally get FRAG and a black screen.

I even removed the modchip and i got the same FRAG. The only thing i can think of is that its D0 because i think the trace is messed up or something becuase i did have difficulty installing the line there. I followed TeamEx's tutorial correctly for my version Xbox. If it is D0 error is there any concrete way of fixing the trace? I've read sooo many things here im not sure which is correct. Can i just hook up the two ends of that trace together or is that point in the middle hooked up to something else?

Also in my kit I recieved someting that looked like part of a pcb board its small and it says D0 on it. Was i supposed to use this? It has the X3 logo on it (aaaaand no its not the X3 chip broken =-P)[/img]

I'd say it probably is your D0 that is causing the problem, have a careful look at it, if there is a break in the trace somewhere you need to repair it somehow (circuit writer pen, or link the two broken ends with fine wire or something).

The extra PCB is probably the LPC rebuild pcb....only needed on v1.6 xboxes.
It's the PCB to the top right of the image:

Thank You for your advice. on thing can i instead of using a circuit writer just connect the two wholes at each end of the trace or is that point in middle hooked to something else?

not too sure what you mean by the bit in the middle without seeing it.....at a guess I'd say yes, if you've feeling confident about having a go at hooking the two ends together give it a go and see if it fixes your problem, if the bit in the middle you talk about is still attached to one half of the trace it should be ok, otherwise you will need to link that in also.

...any chance of getting a pic?

EDIT:
This may be similar to your problem?

Sorry for confusion. But this image sorta resembles my problem the only reason i ask about just soldering (this time correctly) the oppisite ends of this trace is the whole silver pen and conductive paint seem more difficult.

What i was wondering how in this image below they drew a yellow line from one of the trace to attach back to the other end. BUT it kind of overlaps the Original D0 point. Im not sure its quite confusing. Because if that point in between the ends of th trace is just a point on a single wire why put it there?.......ouch my head hurts

I'm pretty sure the point in the middle is just a solder/test point that's not connected to anything (correct me if I'm wrong anyone), so you should just need to join the two ends of the trace together to get things working.

i.e. link points 2 and 3 (each end of the yellow line) in that pic with a piece of wire (or if u like link the vias at each end of the trace) to repair the damaged trace.

Hope that's not too confusing......where is your X3 D0 conneted to at the moment anyway?

As of right now my D0 is somehow managing to stick where the D0 hole should be. As in it looks as if putting a large enough chunk of solder in at that point would fix the break between the point....guess not =-(. but lemme try the wires connecting thing ann see how that goes. Thanks for you help!

SUCESS!! YES !!

well i decided to take a calm approach i got some qtips and alchols througly cleaned the trace and the point. I used a magnifing glass and carefully scratched the coating on the two tace where it had been pulled out and with a fiiiiiiiiiiine tip solder iron managed to get just enough solder on two connect the where the trace had been removed now the xbox boots perfectly. AND this time decided just to stick the wire on the D0 thats on top of the mobo isntead. Now i can boot reg dash and boot into X3 Flashbios. ONE PROBLEM i don't know what X3 config Live is. I tried holding down the white button nothing same flashbios screen asking to flash and unlock/locl HDD

thats because form the flashBIOS screen YOU NEED TO FLASH A BIOS!!!! X3 1959 is the newest and best IMO. after you successfully flash that BIOS, it will bring you to X3CL upon boot up.

I seem to be having almost the same problem, but i used a solderless adapter instead. Since i dont want to do any soldering, should i just send it to be repaired, or is there a solderless way to fix this?

iXtreme 1.61/LT

Ok I haven't flashed the firmware in my Liteon 74850C since iXtreme 1.5 last March, now looking to use iPrep and update to either 1.61 or the new LT, don't go online with my 360 so not bothered which. The only problem I have is that I can't use JF as it always freezes when I power cycle the drive, so I have to use DosFlash, is there a decent guide for using iPrep and DosFlash with either the 1.61 or LT firmwares?
