x3 ce and version 1.6 mobo

Hi,

I'm installing the x3 ce and need to know if the single red wire goes from the u6a1 connector and then to the 5v v 1.6 only? I'm following the n00b guide but it appears to not be using the x3 ce so im a little confused.

the red wire is ONLY used on v1.6 boards as it is clearly labled on the other side of the chip
