x3 ce fragging

v1.6 Let me start by saying I tried to use a smartxx opx and decided to go back to xecutioner. It was fragging saying service required with smartxx and after i pulled the modchip and tried to use xbox in its normal state it did tha same thing service required. So I installed the x3 ce thinking it would fix the fragging non modded xbox and it didnt. The xbox was working fine before the smartxx and the smartxx booted up correctly at first. And I also flashed the bios and all was well. But I tinkered with the lock and unlock on both my xbox drive and my new wd80g hard drive trying to install evox and service requiredcomes up. x3 ce is installed the red and blue lights on the chip is lit. It frags in in both boot modes and the x on the display panel stays red. help please

All I can say is that it is probably your soldering job. I doubt that two chips could be malfunctioning. Just check your solder points and make sure they are secure and shiny. Also make sure you didn't splash any solder onto the MoBo, and make sure you didn't pull up any traces.

Did u do the LPC rebuild? that is required for the v1.6's

Thats the only reason I can think of. (but then again i'm pretty stupid)

Yes I did the lpc rebuild. I will check my soldering.

I rechecked my soldering and noticed that the blue wire connection on the LPC was not connected I miss judged it on the drawing. Thanks for the reply.
