bios = x3 3294
xbox ver = 1.4
dash = x3 with the chip (i assume as I can not get to the dashboard).
On a side note, it boots to the MS dash and plays games fine with the chip disabled. When enabled it boots to the logo screen and freezes.
Thanx for the reply

have you tried holding the white button on the controler while booting, or putting a dashboard on the hd, need more info

Yes I have tried holding the white button, but still no difference. What other info do you require because I will gladly provide. Thanx

No. Should I consider FTP the hard drive and look to see where the boot file for the dash is or am I fishing?

Reflash X3 BIOS

I have reflashed umpteen dozen times with no success. Should I try flashing to a different bank?
You lost me, how do I set the boot priority in the x3 bios?

Signed, frustrated father of son who can not get his xbox up and running modded as promised.

Its a long shot, try holding A+B+X+Y while boot up to reset bios defaults...

Other things to try is flashing another bios on a different bank, and running x3_erase.
Then reflash your chip with X3 again.

X3 erase is included in bios 1959. Make a boot disc. Have you ever seen the x3config. live screen?

Thanx Preddy, I did what you did. I flashed it with an older bios (1959) and it now works. But I now run into a differnt problem, I get a password screen and I have no idea what the password is. I have the X3 erase but don't know how to use it, so could someone explain please.

It does look like your password has been set somewhere... Don't know how...
But this is why I said to flash a different bios on a different bank... the symptons are from this same problem...
You can run the x3 erase xbe file from a dashboard or rename it to default.xbe and create a bootup disc...
