X3 CE - Problem After Install

After I installed my X3 CE my XBOX automatically turned on when the power was connected. I unplugged it and consulted the troubleshooting guide and found that it was a bad solder point on the secondary board that connects to the power button.

I corrected this point per the instructions and attempted to turn on the XBOX. Nothing happens. I checked all my connections and everything was done as indicated in the instructions. In an attempt to rule out a faulty chip. I disconnected it from my XBOX and attempted to boot without it. Still no power up.

Could the X3 have burned out my XBOX? I've installed half a dozen 2.6 chips, so I'm not inexperienced in this and I've never had an issue before.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I have put a lot of time and money into this XBOX and I'd be very disappointed if that was all wasted.

Thank you.

Hello,

I figured out the issue. Luckily, the part that was damaged was the power/eject board. When I replaced it, everything booted without issue. Upon closer examination of the part, I could see one of the traces had been burned out.

I do find it annoying that a flaw in this chip is documented in 'troubleshooting' but not something to look out for in the actual install guide. Thanks Team-Xecuter, great quality control!

Also, thank you for getting back to me so quickly support team! Its good to know it wasn't just up to me figure this out. I'll definitely not be buying your products for the 360 based on this experience.

Best Regards

listen mate im glad you solved the problem but TX are busy people and cant answer every question immediately. there are many happy customers that come here for advice and leave very happy but obviously youre not. as i said the question would have been answered when someone who knew the answer had the chance.

and you say you wont be buying the TX products for the 360! the products that these guys produce are top class and without a doubt theres nobody who can compare for quality and after sales support.

Hello,

You're right. Apologizes. Like I said, I've used a lot of Xecuter products in the past without issue. Just was annoyed with the situation.

I do find it amusing that I received two replies to a semi-nasty post in less than 30 minutes though. ;)

Cheers

Well amusing it may be but as it's Saturday and the weather is good, I've been at the beach all day with my family. No Internet on my phone on the NW coast.
Anyway, I haven't got a clue about anything to do with xbox1, so wouldn't have been much use anyway I'm afraid.
Good that you've sorted it out yourself, don't let this experience put you off future xecuter products. They are by far the best products on the Market.
