After I installed my X3 CE my XBOX automatically turned on when the power was connected. I unplugged it and consulted the troubleshooting guide and found that it was a bad solder point on the secondary board that connects to the power button.
I corrected this point per the instructions and attempted to turn on the XBOX. Nothing happens. I checked all my connections and everything was done as indicated in the instructions. In an attempt to rule out a faulty chip. I disconnected it from my XBOX and attempted to boot without it. Still no power up.
Could the X3 have burned out my XBOX? I've installed half a dozen 2.6 chips, so I'm not inexperienced in this and I've never had an issue before.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I have put a lot of time and money into this XBOX and I'd be very disappointed if that was all wasted.
Thank you.
