X3 CE versus X2.6 Programmer

Hello,
I bought an X3 CE modchip but can't get it working. I can see the 2 blue LED and 1 red LED from the modchip, and the 5 V and 3.3 V. I'd set the bank switch to ON ON OFF OFF OFF. I did a quick tap on the power switch to enable the chip and has this Blue LED in the front panel. But I can't see any video display.
Also, I bought a X2.6 programmer. Can I use the X2.6 programmer for X3 CE modchip? I only have the X2 bios manager. Is there an X3 bios manager for X2.6 programmer?

well im reasonably sure this is probably your problem... can u boot into the backup bios (press power+eject to turn it on) and see anything?.... if u cant then odds are u got a 1.6b xbox which in that cause u need to loadup the bios from banks 5-6-7-8 (1MB) as this has Flashbios v3.03 on it which is made for a 1.6b xbox ... v3.01 is pretty much made for 1.6 xbox's or earlier.

im assuming your solder points are correct... give this a shot and let me know what happends.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I can't also boot from back-up bios by doing press power+eject to turn it on at the same time and saw nothing but just a blank. But when I do long press for the power button (disabling the mod chip), my Xbox boots with MS Dash.
I believed that my solder points were correct because I'd done several checks and use meter to test continuity as well as the voltage drops.
How would I know that my Xbox is version 1.6b?
How can I load or flash my modchip if I don't see any video display? Is there any other way to flash the modchip out from the Xbox? Do you have a proceedure for doing these?
Can I use the X2.3 programmer for X3 CE modchip? Is there a X3 Bios Manager?

You dont use the X2 Programmer for the X3. The XBOX IS the X3 programmer. You can flash the chip anytime once youre in X3 Config Live. Talk about conveniance! Now to the good stuff. Assuming youre XBOX is a 1.6b, this is the procedure you will have to undergo, and its simple. On the Dip Swtich Bank, select "off on off off off". If I am correct, the Box should boot to FlashBios - V3.03 [Made for 1.6b Boxes] after setting the right buttons and doing a quick tap power on. Now that youre at FlashBios, you of course need an X3 BIOS. My question is do you know how to get it?
If not, PM me and I can gladly walk you through it, or get on AOL Instant Messenger and I'll guide you. My AIM is "TheSamArchy". But if you do infact know how, when you go to "The Usual Places" to get the BIOS, get the one that has 1.6 in the title, or something similar and flash that to FlashBios - V3.03. After flashing, you should be in business.
