X3 chip does not disable or boot backup bios.

My current X3 box does not boot disabled or to the backup bios. It will only boot to the Enabled (Blue LED) mode.

I have flashed the most current bios on the xbox.

The box is a 1.2

Holding in the eject and power buttons does nothing but enable the chip. I have not seen any other posts on this forum with any kind of solution so figured i'd post.

check the red wires and make sure you stuck them in the right port pins aren;t bent etc... Sound like the signals for the power/eject button aren not making it to the x3.

I always have a bit of a hard time booting to the backup BIOS. I can't just press power and eject simultaneously and release. I have the best luck if I hit power a split second before eject, then hold both until the blue screen comes up. If I release too soon it boots to the BIOS bank selected on the front panel switch.

problem playing wave 2

i have a liteon flashed with 1.61 and have no problem converting wave 4 to wave 3 to play in drive...however when i try burning a wave 2 game it wont run without a boot disc, i am using 360 waves patcher which gives me the option to convert wave 2 to wave 3 and even runs through the process but will not play once burnt...so any help on getting wave 2 to play in my drive without a boot disc would be appreciated.

why don't you just flash the drive to 1.6 non-stealth? No more patching.
