Ok, this is a long story, hopefully I will get the point across.
My friend with a v1.6 xbox wanted me to mod it for him, so I went ahead and told him to pick up an x3 from divineo.
Well, after getting everything soldered correctly, we try and boot to flashbios.
It wasnt working, we were getting a black screen, so I read the flashbios tutorial and it said it you were getting a black screen, you might have an older version of flashbios that wont work on the newer xbox.
So I brought my v1.0 modded box over and swapped his x3 chip with mine. Sure enough it booted up fine to flashbios 3.0.1. At this point i got this great idea to flash it with the final X3 3294 bios instead of updating it to flashbios 3.0.3 and then having to flash it again. So in my v1.0 xbox, we flashed it to X3 3294, the v1.6 version.
So then we popped it back into his v1.6 box and it wont load, it starts fragging. Many hours later, we re-solder everything perfectly, we use a magnifying glass and a $1000 soldering iron and get everything perfect, we even multimeter test everything for continuity. However, it still FRAGS everytime we try to boot it.
I shove it back in mine, of course I wasnt expecting the X3 3294 v1.6 bios to work in my box, so i try to boot to backup. It wont even do that. Repeat, the backup will not load no matter what we do. It either frags or goes the xbox dash, the emblem will always stay red and nothing works.
I dont understand why it wont go to the backup and nothing else we have tried is working. Any way to reflash the chip without sending it back to divineo or llama?
