X3 chip not booting

i installed the latest verson of x3 bios X3 1959 v1.6plus for v1.6 & v1.6b
i can sucesfully boot into ms dash with chip disabled everything worked fine till i flashed the chip via ftp i cannot boot the chip anymore it works sometimes then freezes and goes black than to go green i cant boot from the backup either it is freezes and goes off. it booted up once and it was flash bios v3.0.3 i heard it doesnt work sometimes with v1.6 b4 it was v3.0.1 why was this updated too? can someone please help me. now its is fragging when i try to boot help!!

7xx LiteOn has mind of its own

LiteOn 7xx has been upgraded with LT from ixtreme 1.51. Ever since it been running fine then "Open Tray" then back to running fine. It goes back and forth. Any Ideas??? Thanks

did you update to v1.0 or v1.1 if the first one then flash the drive with v1.1
if already flashed with v1.1 then your laser is on its way out

The laser is just barely a year old. Is this the symptoms of a LiteOn with LT 1.0 issues? Im wondering because when its running it dont have dirty disc errors during game play, (I thought these symptoms happen only during game play) In this case when ANY disc is first inserted. Burned game, original game, movie DVD, music CD ect. It even went to the "to play this disc put it in an xbox 360" screen. Then all of a sudden out of the blue it works when it wants to. Thanks for your reply.

Well im running LT 1.0 on my Lite-on 7xxxx and i have no issues at all with dirty disc issues or nothing. I must be lucky in that part and i dont see the point upgrading from 1.0 to 1.1 on a Lite-on anyway.

I can relate, I also have a 7xx with no issues whatsoever but this one xbox of many I've flashed is nagging. It is believed that not all LiteOn 7xx drives are effected. I just have to reflash the guy's box again and hope for the best for him.

Thtas true but hopefully it should be ok if you reflash but if it doesnt then try changing the lens and see if that helps

Thanks, never done that but if it comes to it I hope its a piece of cake. It should be if I take a liking to my Avatar :lol:

Yea the lens changing is quite easy tbh. I thought it was going to be a pain in the butt but once i watched a video on youtube on how 2 do it then i thought it is easy and it was.
